Nomvuyo began her career as a Professional Nurse before changing course to the law. She was admitted as an Attorney after completing her articles at Adams and Adams, where she gained experience drafting opinions on a wide range of subjects, from tax and motor vehicle accident matters to corporate law issues, as well as conducting due diligence and drafting court documents.

She served as an Executive Director at Legae Trust (Pty) Ltd for three years, dealing mainly with the administration of deceased and insolvent estates, and then as an Executive Director at Fabcos Trust for four years. There she reviewed and commented on agreements prepared for large projects the Trust participated in or refinanced, responded to deviations to bring deals within approval conditions, and guided due diligence investigations, security documents and legal opinions.

For the past several years, Nomvuyo has focused on liquidations and sequestration matters.

Pontsho was admitted as an Attorney in 2003. After completing her articles at MSMM Inc she stayed on as a Professional Assistant, gaining experience in motor vehicle accident matters with the RAF, drafting court documents, legal opinion writing, labour law and legal research. She later moved to Telkom SA, where she was exposed to debt collection, labour matters and contractual compliance.

She was appointed as a Legal Advisor in ABSA Capital’s Graduate Training Programme in 2005 (deal structuring, mergers and acquisitions, project finance and due diligence), and then as Legal Advisor and Compliance Officer at the Export Credit Insurance Corporation. From 2009 to 2019 she was Legal Advisor and Compliance Officer at Atio Corporation (Pty) Ltd, gaining deep experience in B-BBEE, company and labour law, risk and compliance management, contract drafting and corporate governance as a member of the Executive Committee.

From 2019 to 2021 Pontsho served as Chief Operations Officer at MSMM Inc, and from 2021 to date she conducts legal research, drafts opinions and agreements, and assists clients with due diligence, internal disciplinary hearings, corporate governance, and liquidation and sequestration matters. She is an Associate Member (ACG) of the Chartered Governance Institute of Southern Africa and served as a Non-Executive Director of Fastnet (Pty) Ltd, a Telkom subsidiary, from 2010 to 2012.
